In the far reaches of the galaxy, the Heimveld stands as a towering, unyielding force, where faith and iron discipline intertwine. Their people are bound by an unshakable belief in humanity’s divine right to rule, with their Deity The Unfallen guiding their every step. As they march across the stars, their military might is matched only by the fervor of their conviction — each soldier, administrator, and citizen driven by the sacred duty to expand the empire and maintain its perfect order.
The Heimveld’s reach stretches far and wide, their influence choking out dissent as they forge a future where only the strongest and most loyal survive. To live in the shadow of the Heimveld is to walk beneath the gaze of an eternal, relentless vision of human supremacy.
For almost 17000 years, The Heimveld has claimed dominion over Humanity and all of the Systems they occupy. With religious fervor and force of arms they have expanded from their home systems out into the galaxy on a grand Crusade of conquest. If left unchecked, they will eventually bring all humanity under their iron heel and enslave or destroy any other species they find.

Core Themes
-
Functional Simplicity Meets Long-Term Decay
- Materials: Primarily plasteel panels and reinforced alloys for durability and ease of mass production. These panels are modular, allowing buildings to be constructed and deconstructed quickly.
- Condition: Buildings and structures show signs of wear, with weathering, patchwork repairs, and grime from centuries (or millennia) of use. Rusted supports, faded paints, and peeling decals are common in poorer areas.
- Aging Modifications: As buildings age, they are often modified with haphazard additions (extra levels, extended platforms, or jury-rigged supports). These additions can look chaotic, especially in lower-income areas.

History of the Heimveld
The History of the Heimveld
The Heimveld as we know it is 16,977 years old, counted from the date that the Unfallen completed his conquests, left control of humanity to the three Directorates, and Ascended. Since that time, when the new empire numbered only 17 systems, great progress has been made in reuniting the galaxy under the banner of the last true empire of Humanity. The following is history as recorded by the Archive of the Heimveld.
Society
Heimveld Society
Life in the Heimveld is a relentless climb up an unforgiving hierarchy, where every action, relationship, and opportunity is dictated by one’s place in the social order. Officially, this hierarchy is managed by the Archive, where a person’s rank determines the resources they are allocated—better food, clothing, housing, and transport are reserved for those who rise through the ranks of the government’s three branches. For those outside the system, life is no less stratified. Corporations, noble houses, and cartels dominate, their power measured in bribes and influence. Every citizen belongs to someone, bound by fealty to the person above them, while the High Council reigns supreme over all. At the very bottom of society are slaves, labouring in squalor with no hope of advancement. Everyone, no matter how high or low, is locked into this web of service and submission.
